Gabriel Booth to Pleasant Moon
Georgia, Elbert County: This indenture made this seventeenth day of
April in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and fifteen
between Gabriel Booth of the one part and Pleasant A. Moon of the
other part both of the State and County aforesaid Witneseth that the
said Gabriel Booth for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars
to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
bargained Sold & Released and confirmed and by these presents doth
bargain sell release and confirm unto the said Pleasant Moon his heirs
and assigns all his right and title to a certain tract or parcel of
land situate lying and being in the state and county aforesaid running
as following beginning at a white oak tree at a branch running thence
NE 8 W 32 to Perrinnigon? x on Broad River, thence down the river
S 31 W 4 to a hickory x thence S 73 E 29 to old Pine Stump x thence
S 17 E 1.5 to a Spanish Oak x thence up the meanderings of said branch
to the beginning containing twenty five and three fourths acres. To have
and to hold to the said Pleasant Moon with all the appurtenances, profits
and benefits thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. And the
said Gabriel Booth does hereby warrant and forever defend the aforesaid
premises with all and everything thereunto belonging from him and his
heirs and assigns from all and every other person of persons whatsoever
unto the said Pleasant moon his heirs and assigns forever so that the
said Pleasant Moon shall have peaceable possession forever. In witness
whereof the said Gabriel Booth hath hereunto set his hand and Seal

Page 306.. David Dobbs Shff to Gabriel Booth...Deed This indenture made the 6th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five. Between David Dobbs sheriff of the County of Elbert and State of Georgia of the one part and Gabriel Booth of said County & State of the other part, Witneseth that whereas by an Execution in favor of Jesse Whiple, against the goods and chattels lands and tenements of Joel Faulkner and was Levied on one twelfth part of the land belonging to the Estate of Nathaniel Booth deceased lying on Broad River adjoining Aston (sic) Webb and others whereon John D. Johns now lives containing one hundred and sixty seven
acres more of less the one twelfth part of said land being the interest of the said Joel, was levied on by Presley Christian then Sheriff of said County and exposed to sale by said Sheriff and was knocked off to said Gabriel Booth for the sum of four dollars and twenty five cents, and whereas the Superior Court for September term One thousand eight hundred and twenty five passed an order that the said David Dobbs the present Sheriff should execute a Deed unto the said Gabriel Booth. David Dobbs for the consideration above mentioned, doth hereby warrant & defend all the right title interest and claim, that the said Joel had to the premises at the time of sale aforesaid unto Gabriel Booth his heirs & assigns forever. In witness whereof the said Gabriel Booth hath hereunto set his hand & seal this day & date above written in presence of So far as his Office as Sheriff binds.
